Job summary

High5 is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Maintenance Technician to support long-term operations in our Missouri facility. You will perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of equipment, adhering to safety protocols and PPE requirements.

Requirements include a High School diploma and at least 1 year in a heavy manufacturing environment; willingness to work any shift; ability to work outdoors, at heights, and in dusty conditions; strong mechanical aptitude and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Practice and promote safety in all tasks and wear PPE as required.
• Perform walk-by inspections and checklists on operating process plants.
• Maintenance, repairs, and installation on equipment including rigging, welding, fitting, and lubrication.
• Troubleshoot and optimize equipment during operation and mechanical breakdowns.
• Maintain documentation and plan and organize work with team.
• Adhere to all safety policies and PPE usage.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

• Practice and promote safety in such way as including but not limited to: Assessing risks before starting tasks, only performing authorized activities, utilizing proper PPE
• Exercise and encourage core values including but not limited to: developing self and coaching others by inspiration and empowerment.
• Perform walk-by inspections & checklists on operating process plant
• Perform industrial maintenance activities, make repairs, installations and replacements on a wide variety of equipment (Example: rigging, cutting, welding, fitting, lubrication, alignments, basic low voltage electrical repairs, housekeeping, hydraulics, pneumatics, operate light and medium sized plant mobile equipment)
• Troubleshoot and optimize equipment during operation and mechanical breakdowns; mechanical maintenance.
• Maintain documentation, plan and organize work, participate in various team activities
• Other duties as assigned

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required Education:

High School diploma or equivalent

Required Work Experience:

1 year of experience in a heavy manufacturing environment

Additional Requirements:

• Required to work outside, at heights, warm temperatures, and at times around and over water, in dusty environments and confined spaces.
• Must be able to work any shift as required
• Ideal candidates would have a high mechanical aptitude
• Ability to work in a team based environment
• Prior experience in Mechanical Maintenance or Industrial Maintenance preferred
• Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Client approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
