Job summary

Lutheran-Social-Services-of-the-National-Capital-Area seeks an Immigration Attorney to manage a high-volume caseload across asylum, family petitions, adjustment of status, U visas, and related motions. You will provide direct representation before USCIS and EOIR, and support clients toward permanent lawful status.

The role requires a Juris Doctorate, admission to practice, and a minimum of three years in immigration law; Spanish language ability is helpful.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from ABA-accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice law in any state.
• At least three years of immigration law experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive immigration legal advice, counseling, and direct representation with emphasis on removal defense.
• Represent clients at USCIS interviews, EOIR hearings, and related proceedings.
• Prepare and file applications, petitions, motions, briefs, and supporting evidence with accuracy and timeliness.
