Job summary

At M&T Bank, we are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead several Scrum Teams focused on customer identity and authentication modernization. You will drive delivery, mentor engineers, and manage client relationships while aligning with the department roadmap and risk controls.

This role emphasizes strong project management, cross-team coordination, and strategic thinking to meet business objectives across multiple platforms and vendors.

Qualifications

• Minimum 9 years combined education and/or work experience, including at least 4 years in engineering/architecture and 3 years in leadership
• Experience with customer-facing authentication or IAM contexts preferred
• Experience with Azure cloud development and large programs

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple Scrum Teams and manage a project queue
• Oversee development, testing, infrastructure and related technology domains
• Build client relationships and manage vendor/product analyses
• Ensure delivery schedules and staffing plans are executed
• Promote compliance with risk, controls and department standards
