Voith Hydro in York, PA is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the Project Manager across the full project lifecycle. The role involves preparing and maintaining key project data to enable timely decisions and to ensure uninterrupted execution.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or related discipline required.
• Experience with SAP, PDM, and Primavera systems.
• Strong scheduling and project cost control capabilities.
• Proficiency in heavy manufacturing processes (casting, forging, welding, machining, assembly).
• Excellent organizational and communication skills; leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers in the execution of projects.
• Support coordination of project activities from handover through final acceptance.
• Assist with contractual requirements and ensuring contract-compliant execution; aid preparation of handbooks and plans.
• Be involved in Engineering, Sourcing, Manufacturing, and Installation phases to ensure timely completion.
• Monitor and control operations to adhere to project plan; manage variances.
• Facilitate changes and claim management with customers, subcontractors, suppliers.
• Coordinate with Project Controls to set priorities for scheduling issues.
• Act as local project management contact for customers and suppliers when needed.
