Job summary

Actalent seeks an experienced Hydraulic Modeler / Water Resources Engineer to support stormwater, drainage, floodplain, and watershed projects. You will model hydrologic and hydraulic systems using HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, and InfoWorks ICM, calibrate models, and analyze performance to guide design decisions.

A hybrid work arrangement is offered on complex projects. The role requires a Bachelor’s in a related field and 4+ years in H&H modeling, with strong technical writing and collaboration

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Environmental/Water Resources Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of professional experience in hydrologic/hydraulic modeling and water resources engineering.
• Experience with H&H modeling programs (HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, InfoWorks ICM).
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal stormwater/floodplain regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling for stormwater, drainage, floodplain, and watershed studies.
• Calibrate and analyze models using HEC-RAS (1D/2D), HEC-HMS, SWMM, InfoWorks ICM.
• Evaluate rainfall-runoff, hydraulic capacity, flood risk, and system behavior under design scenarios.
• Prepare technical reports, figures, and design documentation for submissions.
• Support grading, drainage, paving, and related civil infrastructure improvements.
• Use AutoCAD Civil 3D and GIS tools to support modeling and design.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement modeling results.
