Jones & Henry Engineers in Carmel, IN, seeks a full-time Hydraulic Modeler focused on stormwater, wastewater and floodplain modeling to join our team. You will create and optimize hydraulic models, analyze data, and develop solutions to improve infrastructure. The ideal candidate has a strong grasp of hydraulic principles, experience with HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, EPA SWMM and GIS, and can clearly communicate technical results to engineers and stakeholders. PE license or ability to obtain is preferred.
Qualifications
BS degree in civil or environmental engineering.
Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain.
Experience developing hydrologic/hydraulic models for public infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Develop hydrologic/hydraulic models for water resources infrastructure.
Perform rainfall-runoff, open-channel and floodplain analyses.
Prepare reports, calculations, maps, and permit documentation.
Coordinate with engineers, planners, and agencies.
Support FEMA and floodplain studies as needed.
Present technical results to diverse audiences.
