Job summary

The University of Kansas is seeking an HR Transaction Specialist to support HR operations through employee data analysis, auditing, and guidance related to employment actions.

This hybrid role serves as a primary resource for employees, Budget Officers, HR Partners, and HR Centers of Excellence, handling inquiries, data integrity, and payroll concerns while driving efficiency and compliant service delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree OR a HS/G.E.D. equivalency with 3 years of professional experience.
• One year of experience in HR operations, payroll, time/attendance, or related activities.
• Strong written communication, accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Exceptional customer service and ability to train staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide HR position and payroll inquiries guidance across channels.
• Resolve tier1 issues and escalate complex cases to HR teams.
• Analyze employee records, payroll, time and leave discrepancies.
• Consult with HR Partners, COEs, and Payroll on pay corrections and data integrity.
• Maintain Perceptive Content/HR systems records and support onboarding.
• Assist with training, process improvements, and system updates.
