Job summary

The Hiller Companies, LLC is seeking an HR Generalist to own the end-to-end pre-hire and new hire experience across a multi-state footprint. You will manage onboarding from background checks through day one, ensuring a compliant and welcoming transition for new employees.

Based in Mobile, AL with hybrid scheduling, this role partners with Talent Acquisition and HR Business Partners to drive accurate, timely onboarding, maintain audit-ready records in ADP WFN, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience managing onboarding and new-hire programs.
• Knowledge of I-9 and E-Verify regulatory requirements.
• Strong collaboration with Talent Acquisition and HRBPs.
• Ability to maintain compliant, audit-ready records.
• Attention to multi-state employment regulations.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and monitor pre-employment checks and clear candidates to start.
• Own pre-hire communications and day-one onboarding activities.
• Create accurate employee records in ADP Workforce Now.
• Ensure payroll elements and benefits eligibility are correct.
• Maintain compliance with federal/state/local employment laws.
