Job summary

The University of Michigan's School of Kinesiology seeks an experienced HR Generalist Intermediate. This role handles full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, policy interpretation, and compliance.

You will partner with managers to ensure accurate interpretations of university policies and labor agreements, respond to inquiries, and support staff across the SoK. The position reports to the Manager of Staff HR and emphasizes process improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field or equivalent.
• 3+ years of professional HR experience including full cycle recruitment.
• Experience with payroll, benefits, and employment regulations (FLSA/FMLA).

Responsibilities

• Lead full cycle recruitment, job descriptions, postings, and offers.
• Advise on policy interpretation, compliance, and employee relations.
• Enhance onboarding, offboarding, and performance processes.
• Produce ad-hoc reports using ERP and BI tools.
• Collaborate on process improvement and cross-functional initiatives.
