Job summary

Primoris T&D Services, LLC is hiring an HR Coordinator to support core HR functions in a fast-paced construction environment. You will assist with onboarding, compliance audits, personnel actions, and recruiting for skilled trades and admin roles, while maintaining Workday data and ensuring legal compliance.

The role emphasizes collaboration with field and office teams, confidentiality, and a proactive, learning-oriented mindset. In-office Mon-Thu with Fridays remote, Denton, TX.

Qualifications

• Experience as HR coordinator/HR operations, construction or similar industry is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build trust with field and office teams.
• High attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness to learn, take initiative, and grow HR capabilities.
• Team-oriented mindset with collaborative problem-solving approach.
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and sound judgment.
• Knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in new-hire vetting, onboarding, and compliance audits to ensure employees are jobsite-ready.
• Process personnel actions such as promotions, pay changes, job changes, and terminations.
• Assist with recruiting and hiring qualified candidates for both skilled trades and administrative roles.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and construction-specific requirements.
• Keep employee data accurate and up to date in Workday and other HR systems.
• Prepare recurring HR reports, including the monthly Zero Hours Report.
• Participate in disciplinary meetings, terminations, and other sensitive HR discussions.
• Support additional HR projects and responsibilities as needed.
