Washington State University in Pullman, WA is seeking a Human Resource Consultant to provide comprehensive HR advice to leadership, management, faculty and staff on employment practices, policy interpretation, and employee relations across assigned areas.

You will work with leadership to foster a collaborative, productive workplace, addressing performance and disciplinary actions, investigations, and recruitment/compensation matters.

Qualifications

• Experience handling complex employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, investigations, and compliant actions.
• Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
• Experience interpreting and applying state and federal labor laws, rules, policies, and contracts.
• Experience interacting with large groups and individuals at all work levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide HR advice and counsel to leadership, management, faculty and staff on employment practices and policies.
• Support recruitment, classification and compensation matters.
• Assist with performance management, investigations and employee relations concerns.
• Contribute to program or policy development and organizational analysis.
