Qualifications

• Comfortable operating Linux without a GUI.
• Pursuing a degree in cybersecurity, CS, software engineering, info systems, or related field.
• Hands-on Linux exposure through coursework, home lab, internship, or similar.
• Interest in cybersecurity, infrastructure monitoring, or automation.
• Strong written communication of technical findings.

Responsibilities

• Assist with inventory validation for HPC and AI lab systems.
• Review monitoring, logging, and vulnerability coverage across the system fleet.
• Identify gaps in agent deployment, log forwarding, and ownership records.
• Build scripts, reports, or dashboards that summarize security visibility.
• Document hardening expectations and checklists for lab systems.
• Work with system administrators to validate findings and prioritize follow-up.
• Present project results and recommendations at internship end.
