Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking an HPC and AI Performance Engineer (Finance) to join our team in a hybrid role, working two days per week from an HPE office. The role focuses on scientific application benchmarks, performance tuning, and delivering high-quality benchmark results to support sales engagements and internal decisions.

You will collaborate across teams, stay current with HPC technologies, and apply advanced performance estimation techniques on Linux-based HPC platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or related field; Master's or PhD preferred.
• 6-10 years experience in HPC performance engineering or a closely related field.
• Strong experience evaluating, tuning and optimizing benchmark performance on Linux-based HPC systems.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Conduct scientific application performance benchmarking under tight deadlines for sales engagements and product decisions.
• Optimize HPC benchmarks on HPE systems to generate actionable performance insights.
• Develop understanding of HPC architectures and performance estimation to assess current/future systems.
• Analyze results to identify bottlenecks across compute, memory, accelerator, interconnect, MPI, and I/O subsystems.
