Job summary

UC Davis Health in Sacramento seeks an experienced Home Infusion RN per diem to provide infusion care to adult and pediatric patients in home settings. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate comprehensive nursing care while traveling to patient homes and coordinating with the health care team.

Qualifications

• Valid California RN license without restriction.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• Valid California driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• One year of experience administering specialty IV medications including biologics.
• Two years of vascular access device experience including accessing, maintaining, and blood sampling.
• Two years of experience placing peripheral IVs and performing peripheral blood draws.
• Ability to administer first-dose medications in the home setting.
• Advanced assessment skills to recognize infusion reactions and prevent harm.
• Knowledge of nursing standards, policies, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide autonomous infusion care in patients' homes.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate a nursing plan of care.
• Travel to patient homes to administer IV/SC infusions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to meet patient goals.
• Adhere to policies and regulatory requirements to ensure safety and quality.
