Job summary

UC Davis Health is seeking a Home Infusion Registered Nurse (per diem) to deliver autonomous infusion care to adult and pediatric patients in their homes. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate comprehensive nursing care, while ensuring patient satisfaction and adherence to policies.

You will travel to patient homes, perform IV access, administer infusions, monitor for reactions, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support optimal outcomes in a hybrid, per diem role in the

Qualifications

• Valid California Registered Nurse License without restriction.
• American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS), or UC Davis Health CPR.
• Valid California driver’s license and ability to travel to patient homes.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• 1 year experience administering specialty IV medications including biologics.
• 2 years vascular access device experience including accessing, maintaining, and blood sampling.
• 2 years experience placing peripheral IVs and blood draws.
• Ability to administer first-dose medications in the home-setting.
• Knowledge to recognize infusion reactions and administer emergency medications.
• Read/write/speak English; able to use medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Provide autonomous infusion nursing care in patients' homes.
• Deliver total, comprehensive nursing care and develop plans of care.
• Assess, document, plan, implement, teach and evaluate patient care.
• Travel to patient homes to administer IV/subcutaneous infusions.
• Ensure patient satisfaction and compliance with policies and procedures.
