Job summary

Lake Michigan Credit Union (LMCU) is hiring a Help Desk Analyst I for its Grand Rapids, MI location. This hybrid, full-time role supports information systems, hardware and software, training, and staff PC needs, with emphasis on Windows support and LAN operations.

You’ll train staff, maintain documentation, coordinate with vendors, and help keep systems running smoothly while aligning with LMCU’s values of curiosity, collaboration and excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience with PC hardware, software and LAN maintenance.
• Ability to communicate with supervisors, staff, vendors and repair personnel.
• Diagnostic and maintenance abilities for PCs and LAN.

Responsibilities

• Review documentation of new modules/features and coordinate with management.
• Interface with vendor on software/hardware implementation and configuration.
• Maintain priority issue lists and develop internal procedures.
• Train staff on PC fundamentals and provide PC support (Windows).
• Complete hardware maintenance, upgrades, repairs and external coordination when needed.
• Evaluate repair/upgrade cost benefit and configure software.
• Generate reports for the DP system and administer the LAN.
• Back up critical data files and adhere to core values.
