Job summary

The Best Land Clearing, LLC is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator in Keithville, LA to support land clearing operations. This full-time, hybrid role involves operating a variety of heavy machinery and coordinating with the crew to deliver safe, high-quality results on schedule.

You will perform land clearing, drainage work, and occasional tree-removal tasks, while conducting inspections, maintenance, and safety procedures to protect workers and the site.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy equipment relevant to land clearing and site prep.
• Ability to demonstrate safe, controlled operation in a supervised setting.
• Understanding of equipment limits, ground conditions, slopes, and safety distances.
• Ability to follow verbal/written instructions and communicate clearly.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to reporting location.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varied weather and terrain.
• Willingness to comply with drug/alcohol testing and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate compact track loaders, excavators, bulldozers, forestry mulchers, loaders, and other equipment.
• Perform land clearing, grubbing, brush removal, forestry mulching, debris handling, grading, excavation, trenching, and site cleanup.
• Assist drainage work, including pipe installation, trenching, backfilling, and grading.
