Job summary

The Cigna Group is offering a Summer Internship in Product Analytics in New Jersey, a hybrid role requiring three days in office. You’ll work on real business problems, develop dashboards, and gain exposure to healthcare analytics while collaborating with experienced professionals.

Qualifications include rising senior status, pursuit of a bachelor’s degree, proficiency in SQL and Excel, and a strong analytical mindset. Compensation is hourly at $26–$28 for 10 weeks starting May 24, 2027.

Qualifications

• Rising senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree.
• Preferred majors include Biomedical Informatics, Health Information, Business, Analytics or Public Health.
• Prior database skills are preferred.
• Proficiency with SQL and Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Excel).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to think analytically.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong business aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Self-starter who is eager to learn and acquire new skills.

Responsibilities

• Gain valuable knowledge on top health industry trends and integrated data analytics.
• Conduct research and present findings.
• Perform data preparation, analysis and reporting.
• Lead 2-3 key projects.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to support product analytics team.
• Example projects include: analyze health services utilization, develop a dashboard for internal stakeholders, research a topic to support ideation, analyze drivers of medical spend and propose actions.
