Job summary

The Cigna Group, in partnership with Evernorth, invites Master’s students to join the Analytics Leadership Development Program (ALDP) as a Summer 2027 Intern in Bloomfield, CT. You will work in an analytics team on real business problems, gaining hands-on experience, leadership exposure, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, or closely related discipline.
• Prior hands-on experience through internships, co-ops, or research projects involving analytics, data science, statistics, or quantitative modeling.
• Experience with programming in Python or R.
• Building, evaluating, or interpreting analytical models (e.g., regression, trees, basic ML).
• Understanding of hypothesis testing, experimental design, or A/B testing.
• Experience with relational data and SQL queries.
• Foundational understanding of ML concepts and model evaluation.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills with ability to work in cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated leadership interest through academic or extracurricular activities.
• Ability to convey insights to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop predictive models to identify customers who may benefit from targeted programs.
• Apply ML techniques to segment populations for personalized engagement.
• Analyze drivers of medical cost trends and propose data-driven mitigations.
• Measure impact of business initiatives using experiments or quasi-experiments.
• Model the financial impact of provider contracts or delivery models.
