Job summary

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota seeks an underwriter to review and analyze risk for renewals, proposals, and benefit changes. You will negotiate with sales for final price and product configuration, and clearly communicate decisions to internal teams.

You will develop and maintain documentation on underwriting processes, support special projects, and collaborate across departments in a hybrid work environment. Requires 2+ years' experience or a bachelor's degree.

Qualifications

• 2+ years related underwriting experience or bachelor's degree in lieu of experience.
• High school diploma (or equivalent).
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and analyzes existing and new business risk for renewals and proposals.
• Negotiates with sales or account management for price and product configuration.
• Communicates underwriting decisions to internal customers and documents processes.
• Maintains documentation on underwriting processes and systems and supports special projects.
