Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3+ years related experience in group underwriting or equivalent.
• Ability to work quickly and accurately with basic math formulas and concepts.
• Ability to read and interpret group agreements, financial reports, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Accurately calculate and analyze employer group rates using historical data.
• Prepare and audit rate renewals, filing worksheets, and exhibits per guidelines.
• Answer underwriting questions from accounts and Marketing on rate renewals and financial arrangements.
• Prepare, analyze, and reconcile monthly billings for self-insured accounts.
• Analyze rate proposals for prospective accounts and support client meetings with underwriting information.
• Maintain and update rating and reporting systems; resolve data issues.
• Provide training and coaching to underwriting colleagues and participate in special projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
