Job summary

Lightmatter is seeking a Staff/Sr Staff Technical Program Manager for its Hardware Systems team in the United States. You will drive schedules, resource planning, and cross-functional alignment across electrical, mechanical, and system engineering, coordinating with contract manufacturers and suppliers to keep programs on track from design through production.

The role combines hands-on program management with hardware engineering know-how in a fast-moving environment where requirements evolve

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of program management experience in hardware engineering.
• Proven track record managing concurrent engineering programs with shared resources and overlapping timelines.
• Deep familiarity with hardware development processes and terminology across the full lifecycle.
• Proven experience coordinating with contract manufacturers and ODMs to manage schedules and deliverables.
• Hands-on experience with material flow, BOM management, and supplier coordination.
• Strong written and verbal communication with executives and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Own program coordination across all HW Systems activities and maintain an integrated schedule.
• Drive cross-functional alignment between HW Systems and other teams; set agendas and capture decisions.
• Manage resource loading and capacity visibility; flag over-allocation risks and drive trade-offs.
• Build and maintain integrated program schedules reflecting EVT/DVT/PVT gates and dependencies.
• Coordinate material flow within HW Systems; track orders and align with supply chain.
• Represent the HW Systems team in reviews and planning cadences with stakeholders.
• Track budgets for engineering activities, prototype builds, and tooling; ensure spend aligns with milestones.
• Establish lightweight program management processes: status reporting, risk registers, dependency tracking.
