Job summary

Lightmatter is hiring a Sr Technical Program Manager for the Hardware Systems team to drive schedules, resource planning, and cross‑functional alignment across electrical, mechanical, and system engineering. You will work with internal teams and external contract manufacturers to keep programs on track from design through production.

The role requires hands‑on PM in a fast‑moving environment, strong communication, and experience with CM/ODM coordination, BOM management, and tooling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field
• 5+ years hardware PM experience
• Experience managing concurrent hardware programs
• Familiarity with PCBA, mechanical enclosures, production
• Experience coordinating with CM/ODM and BOM management
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient with PM tools (MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet)

Responsibilities

• Own program coordination across HW Systems to maintain a unified schedule
• Drive cross-functional alignment and manage meetings, decisions, delays, and risks
• Manage resource loading, capacity, and trade-off discussions
• Develop and maintain integrated schedules with milestones (NPI, EVT/DVT/PVT)
• Coordinate with supply chain on material flow and external manufacturers
• Represent HW Systems in reviews and planning cadences; communicate deadlines and commitments
• Track budgets for engineering activities, prototypes, and tooling
• Adapt plans to scope/schedule changes and maintain momentum
