Job summary

Rutgers University’s School of Nursing in Newark, NJ, seeks a Sr Program Coordinator to provide holistic support to graduate nursing students in-person and online, including MSN, DNP, and Post-Master's Certificate programs, while coordinating onboarding, retention, and engagement with campus partners.

This role interfaces with the Associate Dean for Advanced Practice, Specialty Directors, and graduate faculty to shape online student resources and immersion experiences across Newark and other

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 2 years of student affairs, graduate student enrollment management and student engagement, crisis management, admission, academic advising, counseling, or related experiences.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, multitask, and problem-solve.
• 3 to 5 years of student affairs, graduate student enrollment management and student engagement, crisis management, admission, academic advising, counseling, or related experiences.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, holistic support to graduate nursing students in all in-person and online programs.
• Oversee onboarding processes, student retention initiatives, and co-curricular engagement for non-traditional and working adult learners.
• Collaborate with the Associate Dean for Advanced Practice and Specialty Directors to provide resources and out-of-classroom experiences for online students.
• Form relationships with representatives of Rutgers academic and student services departments and refer students as needed.
• Track and resolve student issues independently while escalating when appropriate.
• Maintain awareness of policy changes and provide student guidance as needed.
• Oversee graduate students' students-of-concern referrals and inquiries.
• Work with the Assistant Dean to address and manage trends for programs with multiple campus partners.
