Job summary

Commonwealth of Virginia Careers seeks a finance professional to manage general ledger reconciliation, posting, and financial reporting for Virginia agency projects. This role supports DOA requirements and agency budgets, with responsibilities for grant and project accounting and indirect cost rate charging.

The position offers a hybrid work schedule, accommodating in-office and telework, and is open to current Commonwealth of Virginia employees.

Qualifications

• Combination of education, experience, training or coursework in accounting, finance, economics, mathematics or related field.
• Experience applying Commonwealth accounting policies.
• Professional certification in financial management (CPA, MBA, CFGM or other) is preferred.
• Considerable experience regarding the application of software for analysis, data manipulation and reporting.
• Experience analyzing and preparing reports regarding program budgets, expenditure data and other financial information and managing multiple projects concurrently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review and approve General Ledger transactions (including deposit receipts) for agency projects and federal project codes.
• Review and post ATV's, JV's and Cardinal entries.
• Prepare and review financial reporting.
