Job summary

Nexeo Plastics in The Woodlands, TX is seeking a Global Trade Compliance professional to monitor and lead trade compliance, focusing on USMCA, duties, and certification programs across North America. You will coordinate with internal teams to ensure export/import objectives align with laws and company policies.

The role requires a Bachelor's in business or logistics and 5–7 years of experience; hybrid work three days in-office with some remote days. Strong SAP and MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain or logistics.
• 5 to 7 years of International Trade Compliance experience.
• 3 years of Drawback and FTA knowledge.
• Knowledge of USMCA, FTA/FTZ trade and freight forwarding concepts (e.g., Incoterms, bill of lading, custom forms)
• Extensive understanding of U.S. export and import regulations.
• Proficient in SAP, Microsoft Office, ability to communicate with all levels of company management.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily USMCA tasks including TSCA, ISF, AES/CARM.
• Handle K-84 Canadian taxes and origin certificates.
• Monitor HS codes and USMCA/FTA requests.
• Perform end-user reviews and sanctions diligence.
• Guide tariff regulations and communicate changes to stakeholders.
• Support CTPAT and other certifications.
• Lead annual FTA audits and SOP reviews.
• Create training on global trade compliance.
• Interface with suppliers, brokers, and customers; audit data to support cross-functional teams.
• Identify improvements to strengthen compliance program.
• Collaborate with Sales, Logistics and Procurement.
