The SID-US office follows a hybrid work format, and team members typically work in person at least once a week. Individuals selected for the role will be asked to report to the position in person at least once a week and our weekly all-staff meeting. Interested candidates outside of the Washington, DC area are still encouraged to apply if willing to relocate for this opportunity. On occasion, SID-US is open to remote interns based on the applicant's experience and availability.

Due to the transitions and changes in the international development sector, we are unable to pay our interns at this time. However, if you are enrolled in a program that will allow for internships to count towards academic credit, we can help with those opportunities.

The internship will run from September to December 2026, and the exact start and end dates for the internship are negotiable. Additionally, the SID-US staff is committed to helping dedicated individuals find jobs, build their resumes, and develop skills that will be critical to future success in the professional sphere.
