Job summary

Acuity Brands, Inc. is seeking a Contract Manager to join the Law and Business Environment team in a hybrid role. You will negotiate, draft, and review global commercial and sourcing contracts, advising on business matters and improving contracting processes.

Collaboration with sourcing, finance, sales, and stakeholders is essential to align contracts with policy and risk management. The role supports international manufacturing or technology environments, with onsite work three days per week

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; Juris Doctor (JD) or paralegal certification preferred.
5+ years of experience in contract management, legal operations, procurement, or related field.
Familiarity with contract lifecycle tools or legal operations platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including NDAs, master services agreements, vendor contracts, marketing agreements, and professional services agreements.
Ensure contracts reflect approved legal positions, risk tolerance, and business requirements.
Identify and elevate legal, financial, and operational risks as needed.
Maintain contract templates and playbooks to drive consistency and efficiency.
Assist with process improvement for contract management.
Ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
Leverage contract management systems and automation tools.
Provide support and collaboration with attorneys on special projects.
