Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Geography or GIS (preferred).
• 5+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education and training (required).
• Advanced understanding and experience using GIS software (ArcMap or ArcGIS Pro) (required).
• Strong cartography skills in creating paper and web maps (preferred).
• Familiarity with Enterprise GIS database support, maintenance, and management.

Responsibilities

• Interact with engineers and surveyors to create GIS data and drawings from inception to completion.
• Research survey data, aerial photographs, LIDAR, environmental and transportation data.
• Update GIS databases, maps, and other figures on large projects as main GIS contact.
• Handle multiple projects concurrently with minimal guidance and priority setting.
• Run analyses on GIS data to support ongoing projects.
• Create paper and web maps to tell a story that can be universally interpreted.
