Job summary

Wilson Elser is seeking a General Liability Associate Attorney for our Atlanta, GA office. The ideal candidate will handle a litigation caseload from inception through resolution, with a strong background in defense litigation and a thorough understanding of relevant regulations.

This hybrid role offers flexibility and the chance to collaborate with colleagues across offices on complex matters involving general liability, premises, transportation, and insurance-related claims.

Qualifications

• JD from an ABA accredited law school is required.
• Admitted to practice in Georgia (state bar).
• 2+ years of defense litigation experience.
• Experience with general liability, premises, transportation, or insurance coverage.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support a litigation caseload from inception through resolution, including case strategy development, discovery, motion practice, mediation, and trial preparation.
• Draft and argue substantive motions, pleadings, briefs, and legal memoranda in state and federal courts.
• Conduct and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
• Manage all aspects of written discovery and respond to interrogatories and requests for production.
• Represent clients at court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and other dispute resolution proceedings.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop litigation strategies and provide clear case assessments to clients.
