You will support a defense caseload from inception through resolution, draft motions, manage discovery, and participate in hearings and mediations alongside senior attorneys.

The ideal candidate has a JD, Kentucky bar admission, and 2+ years of defense litigation experience, with strong analytical, research, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice in Kentucky.
• 2+ years defense litigation experience preferred.
• Experience in general liability, personal injury, construction, premises, products, or transportation preferred.
• Superior analytical and research skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support a litigation caseload from inception through resolution, including case strategy, discovery, motions, mediation, and trial preparation.
• Draft and argue substantive motions, pleadings, briefs, and legal memoranda in state and federal courts.
• Conduct and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
• Manage written discovery: drafting and responding to interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission.
• Represent clients at hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and other dispute resolution proceedings.
• Collaborate to develop litigation strategies and provide clear case assessments and updates.
