Job summary

Naughty Dog is seeking a Research Data Analyst to join our User Research team. You will turn player data into actionable insights, guiding design, production decisions, and gameplay improvements.

You will work with Sony Game Analytics and development teams, building dashboards and supporting telemetry design while bridging quantitative and qualitative findings from studies and playtests. This role is hybrid/onsite, with base pay hourly.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, analytics, UX research support, or related field.
• Experience with telemetry data and game analytics workflows.
• Strong analytical and statistical skills with SQL, Python, R, MongoDB.
• Experience with analytics platforms such as Tableau, Looker, or similar.
• Curiosity about player psychology, motivation, and behavior.
• Attention to detail with ownership and accountability.
• Ability to present information to top management and stakeholders.
• Collaborative mindset adaptable to changing game production needs.

Responsibilities

• Analyze gameplay telemetry, feedback, and research findings to identify trends and opportunities.
• Translate data into clear insights to inform design and development strategy.
• Build and maintain dashboards and reporting tools (Tableau, Omni).
• Collaborate with Sony Game Analytics, Gameplay, Engineering, and Design on telemetry design and data quality.
• Connect quantitative analysis with qualitative findings from studies and playtests.
• Participate in research to understand player behavior and identify new measurement opportunities.
