Job summary

Naughty Dog, LLC is seeking a designer to prototype gameplay using in-house tools and scripting languages, then work with teams across departments to bring prototypes into production with high quality. The role emphasizes self-motivation, proactive design, and rapid iteration.

The position is hybrid/onsite, with a focus on creating unique experiences while combining technical and creative skills. A CS-related degree and strong communication are valued traits.

Qualifications

• Significant programming ability (Computer Science undergraduate degree preferred).
• Knowledge of 3D math.
• Experience with C++, C#, Lua, or other scripting language.

Responsibilities

• Prototyping, implementing, and owning gameplay scenarios, narrative sequences, interactive objects, and AI behaviors.
• Collaborating with the Design team to conceptualize, prototype, implement, tune, and balance gameplay mechanics and systems.
• Communicating with animation, programming, and art departments to produce required assets and code support.
