Job summary

Vanguard's FX Team executes foreign exchange trades across fixed income and equity portfolios globally, delivering best execution and market insight through disciplined trading and robust analytics. The role collaborates with portfolio management and technology partners.

We seek an experienced trader with eight years of investor experience, proficient with FX platforms (FX Connect, FX All, Bloomberg FXGO, 360T) and with strong currency risk and macro knowledge. Python skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Eight years of experience as investor with fixed income and FX trading focus.
• Experience on FX trading platforms such as FX Connect, FX All, Bloomberg FXGO, 360T.
• Strong understanding of currency risk and global rates/credit risk.
• Proven track record in improving trading practices.
• Python or other programming skills preferred.
• Excellent communication and mathematical skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and execute FX trades for assigned portfolios.
• Back up other traders as needed.
• Analyze and contribute to performance attribution reports.
• Suggest workflow improvements to reduce risk.
• Collaborate with tech and product teams to build new tools.
• Initiate investment research and generate trade ideas.
• Develop models with the quantitative research team.
• Build relationships with dealers to improve execution.
• Prepare investment reviews for clients.
• Participate in special projects.
