Job summary

Bain & Company is seeking a Software Engineer for the Private Equity Group Innovation team in Dallas. You will contribute to ideation, design, development, and maintenance of PEG products, with hands-on work spanning backend and frontend.

A hybrid model requires in-office presence at least one day per week. The role emphasizes collaboration, continuous learning, and clear technical documentation, with emphasis on strong debugging and agile practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (1-3+ years preferred).
• 1-3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with both frontend and backend development is valued.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and SDLC.
• Hybrid work model with in-office presence at least 1 day per week.

Responsibilities

• Hands-On Development: design, develop, and implement features with guidance from senior engineers.
• Backend: Python (FastAPI); Frontend: TypeScript/JavaScript (ES6+).
• Test and debug distributed systems and data pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
• Document coding processes, APIs, and workflows.
