Job summary

Enlighten is seeking a motivated Frontend Developer to build intuitive web applications for a data lake/warehouse environment. You will collaborate with designers, backend engineers and data scientists to deliver comprehensive user experiences and robust REST API interactions.

This hybrid role requires a DoD 8140/8570 compliance mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to write solid unit tests while supporting ongoing maintenance and improvements.

Qualifications

• Secret level DoD security clearance and U.S. citizenship required.
• 5+ years frontend software development; 3 years with a Master’s degree, or 9 years with a high school diploma.
• Familiarity with Git or other version control software.
• Experience working on Unix/Linux command line.
• DoD 8140/8570 compliance within 60 days of employment.
• Hybrid work environment with 1–2 days per week in Columbia, MD.

Responsibilities

• Assist with creation, enhancement and maintenance of web applications.
• Collaborate with designers, backend engineers and data scientists to craft holistic user experiences.
• Define and interact with REST based APIs.
• Troubleshoot issues and provide customer support as needed.
• Write unit tests and perform quality assurance testing.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
