Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC is recruiting for a Corporate Controller role in Lakewood, CO. This hands-on accounting leader will oversee month-end close, reporting, budgeting, and internal controls to support growth and acquisitions.

You will partner with executives, manage a team, and drive process improvements across ERP and reporting. The ideal candidate has construction industry experience and CPA is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience including controller/senior leadership.
• Experience in construction, infrastructure, or project-based environments preferred.
• Strong knowledge of WIP, job costing, and percentage-of-completion accounting.
• CPA preferred but not required; ERP experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Oversee balance sheets, income statements, cash flow, and reconciliations.
• Manage WIP, project accounting, job costing, and project reporting.
• Develop internal controls and accounting policies.
• Support audits, tax filings, and acquisitions integration.
• Partner with leadership on financial planning and strategic decisions.
