Duke Energy is seeking an Financial Analyst II to provide financial planning, analysis and budgeting support for Customer Products & Services and Market Development & Strategic Partnerships. The role collaborates with business partners to analyze performance, prepare variance explanations and support earnings growth.

Responsibilities include month-end close activities, budgeting guidance, and reporting to senior leadership. Hybrid work arrangement; travel 5-15%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related discipline.
• At least two (2) years of related experience.
• Fundamental accounting and finance concepts.
• Experience with financial applications (PeopleSoft, HFM, PowerPlan) and query tools (WebI).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Support financial planning, budgeting and month-end close processes.
• Analyze variances, trends and plans with business partners.
• Prepare reports and provide financial guidance to business partners.
• Coordinate projects and drive process improvement initiatives.
• Consolidate and roll-up financial results for executive reporting.
