Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Foundry Equipment Engineering Supervisor to lead the design, specification, procurement, installation, launch, and support of foundry equipment for new and major vehicle programs.

You will collaborate with suppliers, manufacturing operations, plant leadership, and headquarters engineering to deliver safe, cost-effective equipment solutions and drive continuous improvement in quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience purchasing, specifying, launching, or supporting high-volume manufacturing equipment.
• Strong understanding of engineering theory and equipment design principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams responsible for designing, specifying, procuring, and launching foundry equipment for new and major programs.
• Develop Statements of Requirements (SORs) that meet process and manufacturing requirements.
• Review supplier proposals, including technical concepts, equipment design, and compliance with specifications.
• Maintain effective relationships with equipment suppliers, internal engineering disciplines, plant teams, and leadership.
