Job summary

General Motors seeks a Senior Process Engineer – Casting to lead development and implementation of casting manufacturing processes, tooling and equipment for production launches on the shop floor.

You will work with Launch Team, QC, Design, Tooling and other groups, applying foundry concepts and performing validations, DOE, and PPAP to ensure robust processes onsite in the United States.

Qualifications

• BS degree or equivalent experience required.
• Experience applying foundry concepts in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of casting processes and related tooling/quality considerations.
• Proficiency with DOE, process validation and PPAP practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and deployment of casting manufacturing processes, equipment and tooling for production launches.
• Collaborate with Launch Team, QC, Design, Tooling and other support groups.
• Support manufacturing validations, build plans, PPAP and related engineering procedures.
• Assist testing and installation of equipment and technologies on and off site.
• Analyze castings defects and drive process improvements.
