American Foundry Society in Wisconsin seeks a Foundry Engineer Supervisor to lead our technical engineering and melt/molding floor operations. You will bridge ferrous metallurgy with daily shift execution, guiding technicians and engineers to maximize yield and minimize scrap.
Responsibilities include leading teams, overseeing furnace operations, and using casting simulation tools such as Magmasoft or SolidCast to optimize gating and risers.
We are looking for a Foundry Engineer Supervisor to lead our technical engineering and melt/molding floor operations. In this role, you will bridge the gap between advanced ferrous metallurgy and daily shift execution, managing a team of technicians and engineers to maximize yield and minimize scrap.
Education: B.S. in Metallurgical, Materials, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent heavy industry experience).
Experience: 5+ years in a ferrous foundry with 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role.
Expertise: Deep knowledge of gray/ductile iron metallurgy, green sand/no-bake management, and casting solidification.
Plus: FEF school alumni, Six Sigma certification, or experience with automated pouring/robotic finishing.
