Blue Cross NC is seeking an Actuarial Analyst to support rating and pricing, valuation, healthcare economics, and financial forecasting. The role applies mathematics, probability, statistics, and business principles to provide technical actuarial support within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in a relevant field.
• 2+ years of actuarial experience; related experience considered.
• Must have completed at least 3 ASA exams or more towards certification.
• In lieu of exams, additional relevant experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Performs actuarial research, experience studies, and statistical analyses.
• Calculates premiums and reserves for new and existing plans.
• Supports senior analysts and actuaries as required.
• Retrieves and validates data for rate filings and models; analyzes impact of changes.
• Assists with regulatory filings and internal reporting requirements.
