Job summary

AtStar Construction, LLC is seeking an entry-level Mechanic to maintain, repair, and diagnose a fleet of vehicles and heavy equipment. You will perform routine maintenance, develop repair plans, and help ensure safety and reliability across our operations.

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of mechanic experience, preferably with fleet vehicles or commercial equipment.
Valid US driver’s license with clean record; CDL-A preferred.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Responsibilities

Determine repair or maintenance plans for vehicles and equipment based on cost/benefit analysis.
Conduct diagnostics to troubleshoot failures in vehicles and equipment.
Inspect and provide strategic recommendations for proactive maintenance.
Follow work procedures for the repair and maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
Dismantle, repair, and reassemble vehicles, trailers, and heavy equipment such as trackhoes, backhoes, and other specialized machinery.
Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake inspections, and tire rotations.
Ensure vehicles are clean and fueled at all times.
Operate and test vehicles and equipment to ensure proper functioning.
Maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
Other duties as assigned.
