Job summary

Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines is seeking a Treasury professional to execute daily borrowing, investing and hedging activities. You will analyze market events and maintain strong internal controls while collaborating with other departments to optimize performance.

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field, with 5+ years of investment experience. MBA/CFA preferred; Bloomberg and other tools used. Hybrid work options available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, statistics, or related field required.
• Advanced degree (MBA) and/or CFA designation preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years of investment experience.
• General knowledge of markets and finance, economics, accounting, investment and banking principles.
• Familiarity with Bloomberg, TradeWeb, Intex, PolyPaths, Principia and other analytical tools.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily borrowing, investing or hedging activities under Treasury direction.
• Enhance financial performance by executing relative value transactions within asset/liability objectives.
• Develop market analyses and assess impact on Capital Market Activities.
• Liaise with other departments and the FHLB system to strengthen partnerships.
• Maintain Treasury policies and procedures and manage internal controls.
