Job summary

Steadfast Executive Search LLC represents a confidential, private-equity-backed organization seeking a hands-on Controller for multiple Pompano Beach operations. This role leads the accounting function, partners with operations and senior finance, and strengthens reporting, controls, working capital, and systems readiness.

The position offers a base salary of $165,000-$180,000 with an annual bonus up to 20%, plus one remote workday per week after acclimation and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Five years of progressive accounting leadership experience.
• Experience leading accounting teams across multiple locations or business units.
• Experience in project-based services, construction, installation, specialty contracting, or field-service environments.
• Deep understanding of WIP, job costing, project accounting, and percent-of-completion revenue recognition.
• Strong ERP and advanced Excel capabilities.
• Experience supporting system implementations, migrations, integrations, or process transformation.
• Hands-on leadership style with attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to partner with operational leaders.

Responsibilities

• Lead an established accounting function and partner with operations and senior finance leadership.
• Develop the team, improve processes, and strengthen reporting, controls, working capital, and systems readiness.
• Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, project accounting, and general accounting across locations.
• Drive a four-business-day close cadence and continuous process improvements.
• Support system implementations, migrations, integrations, or ERP transition.
