Job summary

SolomonEdwards is seeking a hands-on Controller (CPA required) for a private equity–backed manufacturing company. This 100% remote role, with initial travel to Costa Mesa, CA, offers a base salary up to $225,000 plus bonus and equity.

You will lead accounting operations, improve job costing and project accounting, and partner with PE leadership on strategic reporting. The ideal candidate has PE ownership experience, public accounting exposure, and a track record of building scalable finance

Qualifications

• CPA required.
• Prior Controller experience within a private equity-owned company required.
• Manufacturing, field services, or project-based experience with strong job costing/project accounting experience required.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting, financial reporting, and controllership functions.
• Improve job costing, project accounting, and financial visibility.
• Partner with PE ownership and leadership on reporting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives.
• Lead and develop the accounting team while maintaining a hands-on approach.
• Support ERP implementation and finance transformation initiatives.
