Job summary

TIAA seeks a Financial Consultant to provide in-person and virtual counseling to participants, new entrants, beneficiaries and their representatives on the full range of products and services. The role includes hybrid travel to client institutions and ongoing remote work options.

Responsibilities include advising on retirement plans, tax-deferred annuities, and related investments, educating clients, and coordinating with internal teams to support clients and sponsors.

Qualifications

• 3+ years financial services experience required.
• Series 7 and 63 completed within 120 days of start date.
• Life and Health Insurance License (Resident State) required within 120 days.

Responsibilities

• Counsels participants on pension plans and investment options.
• Educates and facilitates new product purchases (mutual funds, annuities, IRAs, 529 and 403b, bank products, life insurance).
• Interacts with retirement plan participants to provide customer service and process requests.
• Utilizes tax and investment knowledge to tailor financial advice to clients.
• Communicates with cross-business partners to support products and services.
• Develops and maintains relationships with institutional sponsors.
