The position emphasizes trauma-informed delivery, cultural humility, and collaboration across programs to expand services for low- and moderate-income communities. It requires strong communication and scheduling flexibility.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of full-time experience as financial coach or educator.
• Experience with low- to moderate-income individuals using trauma-informed approaches.
• Strong understanding of personal finance fundamentals and adult learning principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one financial coaching and support clients toward goals using Just A Start’s framework.
• Educate clients on cash flow, bill tracking, debt reduction and credit management.
• Deliver engaging financial education workshops for diverse audiences.
• Maintain accurate client records and ensure program reporting requirements.
• Balance in-person and virtual coaching with occasional evenings/weekends.
• Collaborate with other Just A Start programs to broaden opportunities.
• Build referral partnerships and coordinate with internal and external providers.
• Represent Just A Start at community events to share resources and connect clients.
