Job summary

Northwestern University seeks a Financial Assistant to support Alumni Relations and Development's financial operations, ensuring compliance, budgeting, revenue management, and reporting. The role involves transaction entry, system training, and collaboration with the Finance & Administration team to ensure timely, accurate financial activities and strong customer service.

The position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement with up to two days remote and three onsite, reporting to the ARD

Qualifications

• High school diploma or the equivalent.
• 3 years accounting &/or bookkeeping experience or the equivalent combination of education & experience.
• Excellent computer skills including proficiency in spreadsheet, database and word processing software.

Responsibilities

• Maintains & tracks budget accounts and coordinates annual budget process.
• Prepares financial analyses and reports for managers.
• Completes and reviews financial transactions in enterprise systems and reconciles statements.
• Provides customer service and training related to financial systems.
