Job summary

Northwestern University is seeking an Assistant Director in Alumni Relations & Development to manage donor stewardship reporting and data integrity. You will oversee 1,300+ reports, work across ARD to ensure accurate donor communications, and support program analytics with Salesforce, Cognos, and Mythos.

The role emphasizes collaboration, data management, and timely, accurate reporting to advance Northwestern's philanthropic mission. A hybrid schedule is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 2 years in development, nonprofit operations, analytics, or equivalent.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication.

Responsibilities

• Support production and distribution of 1,300+ customized stewardship reports annually, including planning and execution.
• Maintain donor, fund, and stewardship data in Salesforce and other platforms to ensure accuracy.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and metrics to monitor activity and program performance.
• Extract and analyze data from systems (Salesforce, IBM Cognos Analytics, Mythos) to aid reporting and decision-making.
• Act as a quality-control partner ensuring data integrity across stewardship materials.
